A new survey from Wallethub.com says Ohio is 14th safest in the nation and the highest among neighboring states. The state ranked high for driving safety, workplace safety and home safety. It was in the bottom half for financial safety and emergency preparedness. Overall, Indiana was 17th, Pennsylvania was 27th, Michigan was 29th and West Virginia was one lower at 30th. Kentucky was the lowest among neighboring states, coming in at 37th. Massachusetts topped the list, while Nevada was rated the least safe state to live in.
