Toledo, OH- Students from the UT MSW program present a free CEU event on the topic of teen violence and healthy relationships on April 21, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Speakers include Keri Black: the Program Manager for the YWCA H.O.P.E. Rape Crisis Center of Northwest Ohio, Lilian Briggs: the Executive Director of The Promise House Project, Detective Ryan Spangler from the City of Oregon Police Division, and Debbie Lipson: the Director of Family Preservation in the Juvenile Court. Two CEUs (CEU Pending) Available. The speakers will discuss important topics like intimate partner violence and family violence, a new teen dating violence outreach program, intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ community, laws of assault and domestic violence, statistics regarding sexual violence and intimate partner violence, how to communicate effectively with survivors and more!
