Rick Barry is a father with an NBA prospect as a son, so there isn't a person more qualified in the entire world of collegiate athletics to comment on the way LaVar Ball has unusually promoted his son through outrageous statements in the media.
"He should keep his mouth shut"
Well, okay then. Rick Barry sends a message to LaVar during his interview with Steve Gorman Sports last night. Check out the audio below.
Interestingly enough, this was following Steve and Jeffrey Gorman's conversation about LaVar, and how his interesting methods have actually grown on them to the point where they are starting to see his point. As the media continues to talk about LaVar and the stories continue to pile up, less and less pressure is being placed on the shoulders of Lonzo and his brothers.
Maybe he's just being a good dad?
