Roundabouts Headed to East Toledo

(Toledo, OH) East Toledo soon will see two more roundabouts.

Construction of a new $700-million iron processing facility at the Ironville Docks will require an access road near Front Street. But the port authority is proposing to spend nearly $4.5 million to add two roundabouts to the project to help traffic flow near the intersection with Millard Avenue.

Trucks and trains will carry the finished product from the plant, while most of the iron ore used will be shipped by lake freighters. State grants will pick up about half the cost for those roundabouts and road.
