Video Of Fair Accident Helped Doctors

(Columbus, OH)  --  An online video of a deadly accident at the Ohio State Fair is helping doctors figure out where to look for certain types of injuries in the victims.

One person was killed and seven injured Wednesday evening when a spinning ride called the Fireball broke apart, sending a row of seats crashing to the ground and riders flying through the air.  Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Director David Evans says the injuries were consistent with a high-speed motor vehicle crash.

Gov. John Kasich ordered all of the fair's rides shut down so state inspectors can go through them again for safety, The governor called it the most tragic day in the fair's history. The Ohio State Fair will remain open today without rides available.

An 18-year old fair-goer was killed and several others hurt when the FireBall ride broke apart, sending them hurtling through the air.
