In an NPR interview on Sunday, John McEnroe said that while Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player in history, if she played on the men's circuit she'd be "like No. 700 in the world."
On Monday, Serena fired back on Twitter: "Dear John, I adore and respect you but please please keep me out of your statements that are not factually based."
Most of the talking heads in the sports media world were quick to rush to Serena's defense, will several calling out McEnroe for being a 'misogynist' and 'disrespectful'. Clay Travis is not one of those talking heads.
Clay argues that not only was McEnroe's take far from controversial, it's actually 100% accurate. Men as a whole are just bigger, stronger and faster than women, and anyone who thinks McEnroe was being disrespectful towards Serena must be taking crazy pills.
