(Perrysburg, OH) Some of Toledo's suburbs have a "Plan B" in case a proposed regional water authority falls through.
Perrysburg and Maumee may turn to the Northwestern Water and Sewer District should no deal ever get done with the planned Toledo Area Water Authority.
A study was done to expand the Bowling Green water treatment plant should those suburbs seek another source. The $150 million upgrade would take four years. The BG water system could then also supply some 6,500 suburban Wood County customers currently served by the water and sewer district.
Those suburbs all are seeking more balance in water rates and the safest source of drinking water.
