Capital Murder Trials Move into Second Week

(Wauseon, OH) Testimony is expected to begin this week in the capital murder trial of James Worley.

Jury selection should wrap up today among more than 50 potential jurors quizzed extensively last week by both sides in the case. That could clear the way for opening arguments later today as well.

Worley is accused of kidnapping and killing 20-year-old Sierah Joughin in July of 2016. Her body was found in a shallow grave just outside a barn on Worley's property near Delta. Worley could get the death penalty if convicted in the Fulton County case.

That jury will be sequestered throughout trial testimony and deliberations.

Meantime, the trial of the Columbus man accused of kidnapping, robbing, raping, and killing a former Anthony Wayne High School student could soon be in the hands of the jury.

Prosecutors will resume their case today against Brian Golsby after a day off Friday.

Golsby has confessed to robbery and rape in the case of 21-year old Reagan Tokes, but claims on video someone else killed the Ohio State University student. Testimony could wrap up in the next couple days.
