Land Air Seeks Approval for Airport Business Ctr.

(Swanton Twp., OH) The Lucas County Plan Commission will get its first look at a major airport development today.

Napoleon-based Land Air, LLC, is seeking approval for preliminary drawings of a new business center to be located across from Toledo Express Airport between Airport Highway and the Ohio Turnpike.

The 200-acre site would need to be rezoned commercial-industrial, because the developer intends to build a 100-thousand square foot spec building hoping to attract its first tenant. Speculation has focused on self-driving vehicle technology companies when developers broke ground last December.

The land sits in a tax-sharing district between Toledo, Swanton, and Monclova Townships. A JobsOhio grant is helping to fund the project.
