UT College of Medicine Holds Graduation Ceremony

(Toledo, OH) Newly-minted doctors will kick off Memorial Day weekend with commencement. 

More than 200 degrees will be awarded this afternoon when the University of Toledo College of Medicine holds graduation exercises at the Stranahan Theater. 

Dr. Josiah D. Rich, who is known for his research on infectious diseases and addictions, will be the keynote speaker. Seen as an expert in the care and prevention of disease in addicted and incarcerated individuals, Rich will receive an honorary doctor of science degree during the ceremony.

 Just over 160 new doctors will turn their tassels as they get ready for their residencies to begin all over the U.S. this summer. nine doctoral degrees, 25 master’s degrees, and five graduate certificates will be awarded in health sciences careers. 

The graduation ceremony starts at 2 p.m.
