Wood County Begins Drop-off Recycling Program

(Bowling Green, OH) Wood County is going next-level with its recycling program.

Permanent, 24-7 drop-off recycling locations open today across Wood County, allowing residents to drop off glass, plastic, paper, and cardboard without having to sort it first. But residents are being asked to make sure their recyclables are clean and not contaminated first, primarily by rinsing beverage containers.

Republic Services, which handles Toledo's trash will empty and haul the recycling containers.

But North Baltimore won't be part of the program. Village officials say they don't want the trash that comes along with a 24-7 drop-off center, so North Balitmore plans to continue its Saturday morning recycling program with a current provider.
