The Toledo Plan Commission is being asked to approve a site plan for a large new car wash at the intersection of Laskey, Douglas, and Tremaisville.
A Columbus developer wants to build an Express Wash Concepts on the site-- but that would mean the demolition of a bingo and banquet hall that's seen better days. The three-acre site at the busy intersection contains Sommerset Hall and two other buildings, including a former restaurant and event center.
But there's a controversy over where to put a detention pond, so the plan commission staff is recommending disapproval of the site plan.
