Toledo Postal Worker Accused of Stealing Packages

(Toledo, OH)  A Toledo postal worker is accused of stealing packages from the mail.

U.S. postal inspectors say Ramon Johnson was taken into custody on Wednesday by federal agents.

The USPS began investigating Johnson after they suspected he was rifling through packages he believed to contain drugs and then stealing the contents.

On Wednesday, agents conducted an undercover delivery operation by mailing a package containing 10 pounds of marijuana and an electronic monitoring device to a fake address in Toledo and observed Johnson open the boxes in the back of his postal vehicle.

Johnson said he would sell the drugs at $1,800 per pound.
