Judge Closes North Toledo Bar After Being Deemed A Nuisance

TOLEDO, Ohio - A North Toledo bar has been temporarily shut down by a judge after it was deemed to be a city nuisance.

WTOL 11 reports Ken's Lounge at Lagrange and Baker has been ordered shuttered for at least one year. The judge ruling that the bar did not provide enough security after multiple criminal occurrences at the location. Owner Kendrick King Jr. says he plans to appeal the decision.

Ken's Lounge is one of two establishments shutdown under a recently passed ordinance. The Royale Place on Airport Highway also received a similar complaint from the city last week and voluntarily temporarily closed their doors.
