Suspect In Monroe Police Shooting Dies

MONROE, Michigan - The suspect in a shooting that injured two Monroe Police officers has died.

WTOL 11 reports Simba Lion, 40, died over the weekend. Police say his cause of death is currently unknown.

Lion is accused of shooting two officers during an altercation at the Washington Arms Apartments in Monroe on November 19. He allegedly wounded the two officers when they arrived after reports of an incident between Lion and a maintenance worker. The officers returned fire, hitting Lion multiple times.

Monroe Police tweeted Monday that their investigation is ongoing.
