This weekend is the last before the new stay at home order becomes official. The new order will begin at 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 6, the same time the first stay-at-home is set to expire.
Retail establishments, including grocery stores, must set a limit on the number of people allowed inside at one time to ensure social distancing of at least six feet. DeWine did not indicate a number for each store because he says each business is different. Each store must post the number and stop people from coming inside once they reach the number. Some in the Toledo area have already begun the process. Wal-Mart for instance has roped off a portion of its' front entrance and is counting customers as the enter and exit.
People traveling to Ohio are being asked to self quarantine for a period of 14 days. Out-of-state residents who display what could be coronavirus symptoms are instructed not to come to Ohio, except for medical care.
Campgrounds are ordered closed, but those who permanently live in a recreational vehicle at a campground can remain. State parks are not being closed, but social distancing must be practiced.
And a new dispute resolution program is being instituted. This panel will look at cases where very similar businesses are being treated differently in different counties or health districts as it concerns whether they should be open or closed. The panel will judge each situation and make a decision, DeWine said.
